Morning Greatness: Secret Anti-Trump Tribunals to Continue as Congress Returns

Good Monday morning. It’s Columbus Day.

Here is what’s on the president’s agenda today:

  • The president has no public events today.

Star chamber tribunal to continue this week

The Democrats are returning from their recess and will continue their secret tribunals against ORANGE MAN BAD. The dummies, that’s you all, don’t need to see or hear anything going on inside the tribunals, you just need to know that men and women far, far better than you are making decisions about how to jettison the president you voted into office. Maybe if you could be trusted to make the right decisions, they wouldn’t have to interfere and fix your mistake with their coup. The horror, the horror.

This week, the EU ambassador will be up at bat. Did you know parts of his planned testimony about the fantastical “quid pro quo” allegation have leaked? Isn’t that just wild!?!?

A person familiar with Sondland’s planned testimony told The Washington Post that the diplomat will tell lawmakers of Trump’s quid pro quo denial that, “It’s only true that the president said it, not that it was the truth.”

Sondland is set to appear before Congress under subpoena Thursday as part of Democrats’ impeachment campaign against Trump. The diplomat is likely to be asked about his interactions with Trump, Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani, and other diplomats regarding the administration’s posture toward Ukraine.

If the Democrats have such a solid case against the president, why do they have to keep it hidden? Sure they can cloak themselves in the need to keep the whistle blower anonymous (everyone knows who it is anyway) but these other characters don’t need to be kept secret, none of this is classified. The reason has to be that they don’t have the receipts for impeachment and must control the media narrative with selective leaks to curry public support.

Media overlords upset at video shown at Trump event

At a Trump-friendly conference held at a Trump resort in Miami, a video was shown that has the media upset. Here’s a link to the video that shows a superimposed Trump firing a *gun* at a bunch of media outlets, detractors and lefty groups in a church. I don’t know how long the link will stay up since the thoughtcrime police that control social media are taking the video down.

Eh, what to say? I guess if the media were as vocal about any group or person encouraging violence or representing violent imagery, this would make sense. But they aren’t. They have been jacking up the public against not only President Trump, but his supporters and his political appointees. So, hey it’s cool to spit on Trump supporters, or trash a kid with a MAGA hat, or give a pass to Antifa when they beat up journalists, or help destroy people’s livelihoods because of their political opinions, then I guess this video is just par for the course.

The White House Correspondents Association wants Trump to condemn the video.

Among the people and logos included were late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah), former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and CNN, according to the Times.

The clip appears to be lifted from the 2014 dark comedy film “Kingsman: The Secret Service.”

“The WHCA is horrified by a video reportedly shown over the weekend at a political conference organized by the President’s supporters at the Trump National Doral in Miami,” Karl said. “All Americans should condemn this depiction of violence directed toward journalists and the President’s political opponents. We have previously told the President his rhetoric could incite violence. Now we call on him and everybody associated with this conference to denounce this video and affirm that violence has no place in our society.”

As I indicated above, it’s hard to get worked up over this since the media and at least one of the individuals in the video have encouraged violence against Trump folk and the media didn’t say squat. I too am horrified.

AG Barr rips attacks on religious liberty

Speaking at the University of Notre Dame last Friday, Attorney General Bill Barr responded to attacks on religious liberty.

“This is not decay,” Barr said. “This is organized destruction. Secularists and their allies have marshaled all the forces of mass communication, popular culture, the entertainment industry, and academia in an unremitting assault on religion and traditional values.”

Barr’s appearances was, of course, met with protestors. Some blew whistles, referring to the “whistle blower” who transmitted a gossipy complaint about the president’s phone call with the Ukraine. Funny.

Barr’s remarks followed an “equality town hall”on CNN where D-list presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke announced he would strip religious institutions of their tax exempt status if they do not support gay marriage. “There can be no reward, no benefit, no tax break for anyone … that denies the full human rights and the full civil rights of every single one of us.” O’Rourke told a cheering audience. “And so as president, we are going to make that a priority, and we are going to stop those who are infringing upon the human rights of our fellow Americans.” Another D-list candidate Corey Booker, said there would be “consequences” for religious institutions but did not explicitly say if he would weaponize the IRS.
